Alright, the research is now done and the results are made.
Are you ready for a...
Death Battle!?
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Kyoshi Island, Night time
Screaming was the only sound coming from the Island, that was made by the once powerful Avatar Kyoshi, as the village on the island were burning from flames. People were running, fleeing for their life, as a army of what appeared to be walking brown mushrooms and walking turtles with green and red shells marched down the burning village, using fire flowers to throw fireballs toward the houses. Some of those turtles were throwing hammers and others shooting bullet bills towards the village and its inhabitants.

As the rest of the people managed to flee from the Island, a roaring laughter was heard and loud crunching coming from the sand. The large figure came into view walking with some of his troops looking around the island. It was Bowser and he continued walking until he stopped in front of the statue of Kyoshi. Cocking his fist back, he threw his fist into the statue, breaking it into a thousand pieces.

A flagpole was soon placed where the statue was at, with a flag rising up to the top with Bowser's face on it. He laughed again as his troops headed out, checking to see if anyone else was still present at the island.

"Showtime."  Bowser said as a dark glint was present in his eye.
------
The next day, Kyoshi Shore
A lot of commotion was being made at the vacant island, as two hammer brothers were seen jumping back from a cloud of smoke, dodging a green koopa shell in the process, and started throwing a lot of hammers to the clouds. However that didn't help them at taking down their target, as a red and blue blur dashed from the smoke cloud and went towards the first hammer bro, making him gasp outta shock.

The hammer bro swung his hammer rapidly, but unfortunately he was to slow as his target threw his fist upward and uppercutted the koopa, sending it flying into his bro, making both groan in pain and fall on the ground knocked out.

Soon the person who slugged the hammer bro ran forward and reached the Bowser flagpole. Jumping as high as he can, he landed at the top of the pole and slid down, bringing the flag of the koopa king down, and instead bringing up a red flag with a M in the middle.
*stop music*
The person jumped off the flagpole and did a little victory dance. This person was Mario, as he took off his cap and looked at the shore ahead. Mario then heard noise coming from behind him and turned around. As he turned around, Mario saw a group of people running towards him.

A few minutes eariler, Kyoshi Island

The island made by the once powerful Avatar, Kyoshi, was in ruins. All the houses was burnt down and the whole island itself looked dead. All the people was able to flee in fear from the one who caused this destruction. But a certain group was coming to check out all the commotion after a distress message reached them.

A hand was seen picking up a doll that was lying on the sand, The doll had a few smudge marks and burns, and was losing a arm. Then the doll was dropped, as the person who picked it up stood up, clenching their fist. That person, was Aang, the young avatar who was the one that came to check out the commotion with his team. "Who could've done this?" He asked, with dread written over his face.

Crunching from the sand was heard behind him, as someone walked up to him. "That's what we're here to find out, Twinkle Toes." the young blind girl, Toph said as she was trying to get used to the sand.

"Yeah...you're right." Aang replied as he slowly got up, before a hand slowly landed on his shoulder.

"Cheer up, Aang!" Sokka, the water tribe warrior said. "Nobody was hurt and they all manage to leave safely. We'll find the ones who did this and bring them down with some Kung-fu action!" He exclaimed cheerfully, while also doing a poorly imitated karate chop.

"Easy Sokka. We have to know what we're dealing with first however." His sister, Katara said. That comment made Sokka pout in return.

"She's right. The people described them as someone or something they never seen before and did all of this damage with a single fire blast. Then a group of weird creatures they never seen before using fire and bombs to destroy the area even more. What i'm more concerned about is whatever that thing they saw, what really is it. Only fire benders can do this much damage with Sozin's Comet, and even then. It would take a few blast to do this." Zuko had brought up.

"It's okay guys. Trust me. We'll find out who did this and bring them down. Even if we have to do it with extreme force." Aang replied, as he and the rest of the team started to walk again.

Suddenly Toph stopped walking. "Wait a minute. I sense something." Toph yelled as she started to sense the vibrations. "Someone is still here!" As the rest of Gaang froze.

"Where at!?" Sokka screamed.

"Over there, away from the village." She answered while pointed.

"Well lets not waste anymore time. Lets get on the move!" Aang yelled as he and his friends rushed over to the location.
---
Kyoshi shore
We're now back to where we left off, as the Gaang had just got to the shore from running halfway across the beach, before they seen what was in front of them.

"Okay we're finally here." Toph said as she turned to the Plumber, who was confused at the moment.

"Is that him? Zuko asked. The one caused this?"

"Hmm, I don't think so. The villagers said it was a monster with a group of weird creatures. They were the ones who burnt the village." Aang responded, as he started rubbing his chin, thinking of what to do.

"Eh, I still find it weird that a single guy would be left behind when they said a whole army of littler monsters was left behind when they left." Toph said.

"Maybe he defeated them all?" Sokka said with humor in his tone.

But before anyone could respond to Sokka, Mario who now knew what they was talking about, started to speak.

After a good 15 minutes, the group was staring in disbelief.

"Wait! You mean to tell me that the one who did this was fire breathing turtle, who owns a army!?" Sokka asked, while Mario nodded.

"And he kidnapped your princess and you're on a mission to save her?" Katara asked unsure, and which Mario nodded again.

"Toph, is he lying?" Aang asked since even he was unsure how to take the story, but to his surprised and the others the blind bandit nodded sideways. "Surprisingly no, he's not. I didn't feel a single change in his heartbeat, despite all this sand. He was being honest." She finished.

"Well, good luck in finding your princess." Sokka said blissfully "We'll just be on our way outta crazy town." Before he started to push the whole group.

"W-wait Sokka! I still gotta ask a question!" Aang said before lightly breaking off of Sokka's shove and handing back to Mario. "Mario, could you please come with us so we can ask a few questions? You dealt with this 'Bowser' before and we want to know how to prepare for him." While Mario started to rub his chin. Then, he nodded yes. This is a whole new world he found from a red pipe this time when Bowser fled. He'll need all the help he can get to understand this new world so he can the save the Princess.

"Well alright then! Aang said, It's all settled!" but then he thought of something. "Actually, Mario?" He asked as the plumber looked curious.

Aang pointed to the arrow on his head. "I am the Avatar, master of all four elements and my job is to bring peace back to the nations." He told Mario, who nodded in understanding and slight amazement. Aang paused and took a deep breath before continuing "And I wanna test your skills out in combat." He said, shocking Gaang and surprising Mario.

"Hear me out. I know what you said is true about coming from another world and about that Bowser fellow, but I want to be able to trust your skills with personal experience. And what better way in doing that is by testing them out myself? I want to see if you'll be able to help us stop him and if you're truly strong enough to help bring him down to bring back order. Do you see where i'm coming from?" He asked as Mario nodded, a look of determination showing up on his face.

Aang smiled. "Alright. Do you agree to do this?" Mario nodded once more.

"Aang are you sure!?" Katara asked Aang, as he turned back and looked at his group.

"Yeah, Twinkle Toes. You sure about this?" Toph asked, as Aang nodded.

"Trust me. I'm sure about this. You guys go on without me. I'll catch up with you all soon." He said as he turned around to face the Hero of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Katara was about to say something, but she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was Zuko and he nodded his head sideways. Knowing this was Aang's choice and stopping him is out of the question, she stopped her movement and turned around so she can follow her friends back to Appa. She did however, shouted one last thing to Aang before she left to go to Appa.

"Be safe Aang!" Katara yelled as she and the rest started to go back where Appa was.

"Don't worry, I will be!" He shouted back.

"Alright...now. Are you ready to fight?" Aang asked, as he spun his gilder and pointed it in the direction of the Mustache hero, as he got into a stance.

Pulling his gloves to make them more tight, Mario locked eyes with Aang as he smirked, put his fist up, and said one more time his iconic catchphase.

"Letsa go!"
Death Battle Fight by 6tails6

Swinging his glider in a left diagonal cut, Aang created a slash composed up of condensed air, sending it toward the Plumber. Pulling down his cap, Mario took off, becoming a blur in a span of seconds before jumping high in the air, looking as if he were flying instead of jumping. Landing back on the ground perfectly, Mario started running again after the young Avatar. Readying himself, Aang leaned back Matrix style, as he barely dodged a gloved fist, that went above his face.

However Mario was soon caught off guard as Aang was able to hit Mario with a low sweep, causing him to lose balance. Now having a opening, he backpedaled and flipped into the air before thrusting both of his legs out, creating a blast of wind, pushing Mario onto the ground. Landing on the soft sand, Mario didn't have any time to counter as he was soon thrown very forcefully by another gust of strong winds. Having him where he wanted him, Aang soon dashed toward the air born plumber. Little did he know, Mario was waiting for him. Catching his composure in mid-air, Mario looked down at the the young airbender before soon setting his weight down, falling down at speeds faster than before.

With great agility, Aang was able to dodge the ground pound from the Plumber, unfortunately for the Avatar, a shockwave followed after the pound, causing him to trip, and a explosion of sand followed next. Coughing was soon heard and then a gust of air soon came about, erasing all the sand out the way. Aang breath a sigh of relief, before soon realizing something. Where was Mario?

He soon got his answer when the plumber appeared in front of him and suckered punched the young bender in the face, sending him flying from the impact. However Aang didn't get very far as Mario grabbed his feet and started to spin him around at alarming speeds. Slowing down a bit, he tossed the Avatar high into the air, but not before coating his hand with flames, jumping up, and decking the airbender once more in the face before he can fall back down.

Small burns was present on the Avatar's cheek, but he didn't worry much about that as caught his composure and landed softly. What Aang was worried about was the sheer strength Mario progressed. If he got close, it'll most likely be the end of the battle...and himself by sheer accident . So all he had to do was keep a distance. And with that in mind, Aang started to bring up many rocks and used a little bit of Firebending on them, putting the rocks on fire, before tossing them at the Plumber. As soon as each flamming boulder came face to face with him, Mario punched each and every one of them, the boulders turning into nothing but dust, ashes, and debits.

Then Mario decided to fight fire(well flaming boulders to be exact) with fire, he thrusted his fist forward, sending a volley of fireballs in a stream of them bouncing off the ground towards the younger warrior. Each fireball raced toward Aang, who only took a small breath waiting for them to come to him. Then, when he felt the heat of the fireballs near his body, he he threw his hand out holding the fireballs before spinning around and blasting a stream of fire towards the plumber.

Thinking fast, Mario pulled out a white leaf with yellow lines and a orange head, and in a quick second a POOF appeared and disappeared as soon as it came. When the smoke cleared, Mario was now wearing a yellow cape on his back. Taking off the cape, he blew the flames away with the cape and quickly put it back on. Now with the cape back on him, Mario did a running start before taking off in the skies, surprising Aang as the red clothed plumber just did something only airbenders could do. Not being discouraged however, Aang readied himself as he watched what Mario's next movie was.

Reaching a certain height in the sky, the Mushroom Kingdom's hero started to dash back to the ground towards Aang, creating a sonic boom in the process at the speed his was going. Eyes becoming wide, Aang tried to change the currents of the air to slow Mario down, but he soon found it impossible to do as Mario's speed and weight was too strong. With only one other option left, the avatar barely managed to make a dive on his left, as Mario finally crashed on the island.

The results, was a huge explosive of dust, sand flying up and covering a huge amount of that specific area on the island.
---
Standing back up, Mario dusted his overalls as he looked around for his foe. He seen him dodge his attack last minute and he knew he couldn't have gotten far. He soon got his answer however when a stone slab flew from behind him and hit him in the head, causing him to not only grunt in pain, but also lose his power up as well. Tumbling on the ground, Mario was struck by another stone slab and soon enough a stone pillar, which ended up exploding into dust on impact.

Aang closed the distance he put between him and Mario as he blew away the dust and started to slowly walk closer to combat the Plumber. To his slight amazement, the young avatar saw the Italian slowly get back. That made him more cautious than he was before as it seems that Mario still wasn't all that hurt.

Unknown to him however, Mario was slowly shaking his head to shake off the little headache that came from those rocks that hit him. Bringing his attention back to the fight, if Aang wanted to use rocks in this fight, than so can Mario. Reaching into his overalls, Mario brought out a mushroom with rocks on top of its head. Another POOF was made and soon there stood Mario in a rock covered version of his outfit, ready to combat Aang once more.

Before the Avatar could react, Mario managed to cover himself almost entirely in a bolder and started to roll towards Aang at great speeds. Eyes widening, Aang barely dodge by jumping out the way of the rolling rock to the right side of him. Unfortunately for him, Mario soon just turned back around rolling at even greater friction and speeds towards the monk. Soon he managed to hit Aang, which caused him to not only groan in pain, but become flatted in the moving boulder known as Mario and become stuck to it as a human pancake.

As Mario was rolling with Aang stuck as a captive, the air nomad weakly pulled his hand out and with a small wave, took apart the whole boulder the plumber was encased in, causing him to yell out in surprised. Both falling flat onto the sand, both fighters soon picked themselves up and got ready to fight again. Clenching his hands, Aang pumped one of his fist into the air, encasing his entire body with the broken pieces of stone that came from Mario's rock mushroom.

Not expecting this, Mario decided to try another roll again, encasing himself into a boulder and charging towards the Avatar. This time however he was ready, as he brought his rock armor encased arms together into a "X" shape, not only tanking the attack from boulder Mario, but causing both of them to slide across the sand together. Aang grunted as while the rock was protecting him and while he wasn't feeling any pain, the rock armor wasn't enough to help him overpower or even stop the current bolder.

Deciding this wasn't going to work, Aang slid his right foot slightly, which caused Mario to go to a whole new direction, away from the nomad. Deciding to just simply roll around again, what he didn't know was that Aang was prepared for this as he stomped his foot down, causing the boulder to split into tiny pieces of rock again, catching Mario off guard and was now heading towards aang without any means of protection.

Pulling back his fist, Aang threw a well timed right hook, powered by firebending, onto Mario's jaw, which made him not only lose his power up form, but also landed him on the ground and tumble away.

In seconds, Mario pulled himself back up and slowly rubbed his jaw. Seems like he has to try another new method. Bringing out a flower with blue petals and eyes, Mario soon became a man coated entirely of Ice.
Ice Mario in Super Mario Galaxy (top), and New Super Mario Bros. Wii (below).
Gawking at how cool that looked, Aang quickly shook his head as he noticed Mario was coming towards him. Staking over the sand via ice, Mario was quickly making his way towards his young foe with a plan in mind. As soon as he was nearing towards Aang, the avatar launched a couple of stone slabs towards Mario, who easily slid out the way.

In a blink of an eye, Mario reached Aang and soon with a rapidly thrown punch, managed to slug Aang out of his rock armor and sent him pushing back against the sand. Trying his best to ignore the pain, Aang threw a fist out, releasing a torment of flames towards the Mushroom hero, who in response threw a ice ball at it.

In a shocking turns of event, the iceball froze the flames and Mario was closing the distance once more. Using his airbending, Aang jumped backwards high into the air, doing an overhead kick to release a slash of condense air for Mario, who simply froze that too. Landing gracefully on the ground, Aang lifted a great amount of water with his bending, before dividing the water into many water whips at his disposal. At this point Mario stopped running. He has to be extra careful a this point.

With premise and balanced movements, Aang lashed three water whips towards Mario, who back-flipped in response, dodging the first two completely and the third one missing him barely by only lightly splashing his hat. Landing back on the sand with a dud, Mario slid out of the way of another whip before promptly freezing said whip.

Slightly disappointed that one of his whips froze, Aang decided to just leave it be for the time being and instead, merge the other whips together to create two giant whips. Seeing the sheer size of them, Mario readied himself as Aang brought both them towards him. As he was about to freeze both whips, Aang beat him to the punch and froze them both, surprising him.

Now with two large layers of ice coming towards him, Mario was about to dodge them before Aang swiftly brought out his staff swung it, creating a large amount of compressed air directly towards him. His eyes widening slightly, the Italian Plumber decided to do something risky. Coating his left hand in ice and clenching it into a fist, Mario stuck the ground beneath him, creating a wall of ice, which then cracked slightly due to the condensed air hitting it. And then in rapid succession, Mario jumped towards one of the ice layers and once he landed, slid towards Aang, who was quickly trying to raise some defense for himself.

Raising a rock wall and bending some water behind it and freezing it, Aang started to add fire daggers behind his hands to prep himself. While he usually wouldn't use firebending in that way, Mario was clearly the type of opponent who could deal with this level of attack. He soon saw a figure in the air, which he could easily make out was said plumber who looked about ready to crash his bending constructs.

After covering enough distance on the layer of ice, Mario jumped off it and was now currently ready to break apart the wall of solid earth. Throwing his fist, Mario managed to not only break down said wall, but also hit Aang in the stomach as well surprising him. Said punch had enough force to cause him to spit and leave him breathless. Crashing into his wall of ice, Aang was sent flying across the ocean before gravity took control of him and sent him falling into the water, which also caused him to sink.

From afar, Mario watched as Aang started sinking into the water. After a couple seconds however, the plumber was getting worried that he may have knocked out the young warrior, so he decided to run and dive into the water, causing a huge splash.
stop music
Meanwhile, Aang was slowly floating down further below in the water. He was still conscious, but barely. Even though he was slowly sinking and didn't have a lot of energy left to physically swim back to the surface, Aang had a smile on his face. Mario surpassed all of his exceptions and more. He knew he wasn't lying about the fact he was a hero, but his fighting ability and those weird objects he used to transform himself, was really amazing.

Noticing he was losing air fast, Aang weakly moved his hands to allow a water bubble around his head, allowing him to breath. A few moments later, he touched the underwater ground, tired and motionless. He was debating with himself, asking should he really do what he was thinking of. A few seconds later however, he found his answer. Closing his eyes, Aang started to relax his mind and focus his chakras.
----
Mario was in the middle of swimming, turning his head left and right, hurriedly trying to find Aang. After a few more seconds of breast stroking, Mario found Aang lying on the ground and with his eyes close. Slightly panicked that he was too late, Mario started to fully swim at top speeds to reach the young Avatar.

As soon as Mario got close however, Aang's eyes snapped open at the same time, but they were different. His eyes was glowing fully white. His arrow tattoos also started to glow the same intense level of whiteness. His hands clenching into fists, Aang threw both of his fists upward, pushing an immense amount of water towards the surface. The water also carried Mario and caused him to yelp in surprised, until he was trapped in the water and just pushed out the ocean.

Airborn, Mario was crashing toward the land has amazing speeds and eventually landed face first in the sand, stuck. As this happened, Aang finally emerged from the water, but how'd he presented himself was astounding.  Flying in midair, surrounded in a sphere of air, the young Avatar also had a circle of water surrounding his body, and now since he was out of the water. He bended some of the earth around him, causing said stones to surround him as well and for the truly amazing part. Not only did he breath out fire, but he released fire from both feet and hands at the same time, creating a torment of fire before having it circle around him as well.

Pulling on the sandy ground, Mario managed to pull his hand out from the ground in a bridge position, before flipping himself right side up. The sight that was waiting for him however, surprised and impressed Mario.

Ascending in the air slightly, Aang looked down at Mario and if one looked hard enough, could somewhat tell his glowing glare, lighten a little bit.

"Mario, Hero of the Mushroom Kingdom. I present to you the Avatar State, the strongest and most powerful ability we Avatars have. Our current successor found you worthy of seeing this ability due to the skills you have shown today. Out of all the past lives, we have never seen someone with this type of skill and power until now. We have an offer for you however."

Mario listening to all of this, was already curious by what they told him, but was now even more curious.

"Would you like the honors of keeping this fight going, with me in the Avatar State? Is it up to you." Aang asked with the voice of all his past lives. The answer Aang gotten was one he expected, but still surprised him anyway. Mario, still in his ice power form, looks at Aang with a look of pure confidence and nods his head up and down without a second thought.

Raising his hands slowly and causing a few streams of water to raise up and rise next to him, Aang set his sight fully on the mustached plumber before hardening his look.

"Very well. Prepare yourself Mario. This won't be as easy as before."

The ice flower's power up had just went away, as Mario went from a being composed mostly of ice, back to his normal self. Tightening his fist, Mario's fist lit into flames as he summoned his fire power. Responding to Aang's look with one of his own, Mario pulled his cap down and got into a fighting stance.

"Letsa do this, Avatar!"
MariovAangset2 by 6tails6

Faster than the eye could see, both fighters made their first move. Aang sent five narrow waves of water charging towards Mario, while said plumber took off running. Seeing two out of five of those waves nearing him, Mario slid across the sand, avoiding them both completely, before front flipping to dodge another wave. As soon as he landed back on his two feet, the last two came narrowing down towards Mario, who stayed completely calm and slowly stepped back, to avoid getting hit.

The impact of the water was more violent than Mario would've thought to be when it hit the sand, as a huge splash of water blocked his view for a good five seconds, before all the water went down What Mario didn't think what would happen is that Aang appeared in front of him in a blink of an eye, tackling him with his condensed sphere of air.

Spread out on top of the air sphere, Mario was grunting as the sheer force on the air was much stronger than it was before in the fight, but he wasn't discouraged in the least. Summoning his fire once more on both of his hands this time, Mario managed to grab the air and (somehow) rip the sphere apart slightly, which allowed him to be free from the force of it.

Slightly caught off guard by it, Aang just airbended the sphere good as new again, so he can remain airborne. Trying a new approach, Aang lifted both his hands into the air, not only creating much more violent winds than before, but also tearing and lifting multiple pieces of earth off the ground and sending them all at Mario. Tensed, Mario threw multiple punches at amazing speeds, blowing up each and every piece of Earth while also standing his ground against the harsh winds. But as he was punching away, Aang decided to lift Mario up himself on a stone slab, shocking the plumber and before he could even react, fling him up high into the sky.

Caught in a sticky situation, Mario seen that Aang was reaching towards him once more, dashing at speeds greater than any bullet could hope to travel. Thinking of what he should do next, Mario reached into his overalls once more and had pulled out a brown left with eyes. Letting the power up course into his veins, Mario started flipping himself before he took off flying with a brown striped tail, brown tanooki ears, and relocated himself to fly towards the airbender.

Not even surprise at this point, Aang decided to attack with fire this time, sending a huge wave of fire from his fist. Challenging this, Mario shot an "Ultra Flame" towards the firebending attack with a pump with his own fist. Both fire attacks met and canceled each other out on sheer impact with each other, but that didn't mean the clash was over itself. Barely dodging a glove clad fist from Mario, Aang did a 360 turn around Mario and bringing both his arms and hands to a swirl, bended the surrounding clouds near him with a mixture of water and airbending, turning said clouds into a vortex of wind.

Eyes widening once again, Mario was helpless as he was pulled in by the strong currents and now inside of the vortex. Wanting to test how strong Mario was, Aang started to increase the intensity of the vortex, as Mario was struggling to even fly out of it. Seeing as how the tanooki tail wasn't able to get him free anyway, Mario started to dive down in the vortex, before flying back up slightly. And then setting himself in a good position, he slowly let the vortex sweep him around and around, until he stretched his arm out. Spinning in sync with the vortex, Mario started to created his own force, which allowed him to break free from the force of the tornado and in a reverse situation, started to pull the vortex close to him.

Outside in the air, Aang noticed slowly, but surely he was losing control of the vortex he made before coming to a realization. Is this guy so strong he was reversing the effects of the vortex on his own? He got his answer when the immense mass of wind was broken and in the middle of the used to be vortex, was Mario with his arms and legs stretched out along with his mouth open, so he can let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

Even though he was completely flabbergasted, the Avatar tried to regain his composure, but soon had gotten the breath knocked out from Mario ramming his shoulder into his stomach. The force from the plumber's shoulder sending him flying across the sky, Aang decided it was time to raise the stakes even higher when he looked down and with all his might, bended something completely insane.

Mario was slowly letting himself float down by wagging the tail of his, that is until he heard something weird heading from below him. Looking down, Mario barely registered that two flying cliffs was heading towards him. Bracing himself, he letting himself fall faster so when the first cliff reached him, he landed feet first on it. Running down the cliff at high speeds, he jumped off with enough force that broke a decent sized chunk of the cliff, so that he can fly once again with his tanooki tail. Flying off at speeds faster than sound, he reared his fist back and smashed it into the second cliff, shattering it whole, with ease.

Narrowing his eyes, Aang used earthbending on the other cliff, splitting it into four equal pieces before letting them all ascend towards him. Having all four pieces of the cliff next to them, he started to make them rotate horizontally. Using firebending as well, he had the four pieces of earth lit into flames, before tossing all four them one by one, towards peach's hero. Not before using airbending to increase the force they flew at.

Having witness all of this happening, Mario could only mutter a "mama mia..." before zipping forward to encounter the cliffs. Dodging two of them(and which both were turned right back around to hit Mario anyway), he started using the firehand, taught to him by the Fire God, to one hand slide himself safely across the third cliff, before charging up a big fireball that promptly exploded, which sent him to flying even faster towards the fourth, while also crumbling the last cliff from bits and pieces.

Struggling to keep up with the fast flying plumber, Aang decided to just explode the last cliff piece in order to get an opening from Mario. However this worked as an advantage for Mario, he managed to land on a chunk of rock and jump off of it to another chunk. After a bit of jumping, Mario noticed a notably bigger piece of rock heading towards him, which in case he kicked it so it can be higher in the air, confusing the airbender.

Bending his legs, Mario jumped off that piece of rock he was standing on, leaving a trail of fire behind him towards the piece of kicked burning rock. At speeds even Aang couldn't even detect, Mario was above the piece of earth and started to rear his foot, as his appearance started to change into a fiery version of himself. Soon he kicked the piece of rock so hard, an explosion was made just from the contact of the kick to the rock.
   MegaStrike by Doctorworm1987
The result from that kick was that not just one, but four pieces of stones that lit back on fire, was heading towards Aang at speeds that broke the sound barrier. Descending himself back to the ground, Aang found himself flying back towards the land of the island all the while four dangerous rocks(which could be considered meteors at this point) was aimed at him. Seeing that the ocean was in perfect eye view for him, Aang waterbended a tidal wave and then turned it into a circular shield of water, which actually managed  to hold back the first three rocks but when the fourth one hit, another explosion occurred, covering that part of the island in smoke.

Using his airbending once more, Aang cleared all of the black smug that was about to cover the island, he looked up and saw a figure slowly coming down from the sky. That figure was of course Mario, who thanks to his tanooki tail, managed to land back down to the ground safely. With the sounds of waves crashing into each other, light fires that was surrounding them both, and air blowing like crazy, both heroes prepared to fight once again.

Reaching into his overalls once again, Mario brought out a flower that looked like the ice flower, but instead it had a red head instead of a blue one. The tanooki tail and ears went away, and instead stood Mario with a whole different colored outfit again. He was now Fire Mario, his most used power up. It was time to finish this little spar once and for all.

Mario lit his hands on fire as he braced himself due to Aang sending a tornado of water and air towards him. Taking another deep breath like he had in the beginning of this fight, Mario backpedaled instead before doing a full on back-flip, which allowed him to stay in the air long enough to dodge the whole attack. Landing back on his feet, Mario decided to gather flames into his hands and throw a huge fireball toward Aang.

In response to this, the Avatar simply put his hand out and swiftly turned around, so he can release the fireball as a blast of fire that was stronger than Mario's fireball. Not at all discouraged by this however, Mario simply ran and ducked under the intense fire blast so that he can continue to combat Aang. Said airbender sweeped his foot across the sand, which was supposed to change the direction of where Mario was running, but he simply jumped over it and jumped from his location to Aang's, causing the young bender to be surprised. Landing, Mario ducked and jumped up diagonally, hitting Aang in the chin with a powerful uppercut, that somehow produced coins.

Recovering in mid air, Aang produced a mini hurricane, that launched Mario a few meters away in a few seconds. Not wanting to let him recover, Aang bended tons of water whips in a mere moment before sending most of them towards Mario way. After a bit of effort, Mario managed to land on the sand once again unharmed for the most part, but had to instantly go on the defensive again after seeing the amount of water whips hand toward him.

Weaving left and right, while also flipping a couple of times, Mario thought it would be a good time to stop holding back as well. In rapid movement, he smashed the ground with almost all his might, not only causing the island to shake from the amount of force he put into the punch, but also cause a semi strong earthquake, which knocked Aang outta control of the water whips, causing the water to harmlessly splash onto the sand.

Thinking of a new approach, he stomped on the ground with as much force as he could possibly make, creating a bunch of earth pillars, in which case one almost hit Mario, if he haven't jumped on top of it as the last minute. However what Mario didn't know was that at that very moment, Aang decided to charge toward Mario in his air sphere once again, but what was different this time around is that the Avatar breathed fire in front of him, so that the sphere of solid air became a spiraling fire and air death ball.

Sharply looking in front of him and seeing what Aang was doing, Mario prepared himself. This was going to be his final attack. Slightly jumping back, Mario threw his arms back, before cupping his hands together and thrusting them forward.

"OH YEAH, HEEYAHHHH!" Was what Mario screamed before a large swirling blast of fire was released from his hands. As the speed of the attack increased, Aang released too late he wouldn't be able to dodge it or bend it away, which means he had to take it head on. Clashing with the fire blast, instantly the Avatar could feel the overwhelming pressure and force behind the attack as he was pushing against it, trying to overpower it.

Deciding it was best to even his playing fields, Aang managed to quickly bend water and earth towards his way, so he could become a charging force of all the elements against this one fire blast. Mario on the other hand was trying his best to overpower the avatar, but his bending was really strong. As he was putting in his effort for the power struggle, Mario thought of something. Something he could use to finish this fight instead of his 'Mario Finale'. Then it hit him on what to use.

He just needed the perfect opening.

Stopping his effort in his attack, Mario soon felt himself get hit by a strong force of the elements, mainly fire and air, which sent him flying away hard enough to crash into a mountain on the island, but not before he managed to reach into his overalls one last time in the mist of being of hit toward the mountain. Stopping the charge he made, but still hovering above the ground, Aang stood on guard to see if Mario was still going to stand after that attack or if he was knocked out. To what he would expect, the plumber was still standing and okay for the most part, but how he would stand back up would greatly surprise Aang.

A great shine from afar had the master of elements cover his eyes for a brief moment. As soon as he was able to open his eyes and look for the cause of that shine, he tensed uncontrollably at he saw not one, not two, but seven different colors shining brightly at that distance.

Having a smile on his face, Mario looked at himself and was pleased to see his plan worked. His entire appearance looked like living rave, flashing to seven different colors in a mere instant. He was now Rainbow Mario thanks to the superstar he had on him. That reminds him, he had to thank Toad for this power up later. But without further ado, Mario crouched and lifted his feet off the rubble he was standing on, dashing forward like a human missile.

Not knowing what to expect from all of this, Aang felt this was it. The final moments of this battle. Which means he'd have to go out all right now! With his earthbending, Aang managed to lift the mountains that was behind Mario and sent them flying towards the plumber, who was mid way in his dash. However that wasn't all the Avatar was going to do. He made tsunamis from the oceans behind him, tornadoes from the surrounding air he was bending, and last but not least, made four streams of fire from his hands and feet, all of which created a cross sign that were a size of a volcano.

Mario who was still dashing with fire now trailing behind him, noticed all of the crap that was coming his way, but knowing the effects of the starman was still going on strong, continued with his dash. Seeing that the moving mountains went above and past him, only then did Mario see what was about to happen. Aang was about to combine all of those attacks at once.

And he was completely right, as he saw the mountains become a crushed, giant pile of heaping earth, the tsunamis swirling around said pile, the tornadoes swarming on top of the two elements and going into a complete 360 sphere, and finally the cross of fire wrapping itself around the sphere of air, water and earth. Truly the whole thing looked like a complete disaster of elements.

If Mario thought that was bad, he couldn't have guessed that Aang managed to make the entire thing even bigger than before, to the point the size of it was like a small island, hovering over this entire island. The sheer size was enough to make Mario stop his dash, but he only stopped so he can make his next move, which was to jump as high as he could.

About the same time Mario jumped, Aang launched his bending ball towards the plumber, who decided to react accordingly. Feeling the power up slowly about to run out, he charged up the fire hand and with that, the Plumber made one last fist and threw a punch with all his might with the power of flames added to it. Up in the sky, the Avatar watched as Mario came closer to the ball, so with all his might, he gave a warrior's yell with the combined voices of the avatars with it. Mario gave a yell as well when he neared closer to the elemental attack.

When both forces met, a collision was made unlike any other. The force and damage of the explosion was immense, blowing away a good chunk of Kyoshi Island and even pushing back large amounts of the ocean back with it. Rocks that were sent flying were soon turned to ash. The amount of water that was sent flying made it look like it was raining instead. The fire was completely dried out, and the winds was blowing even more wild as ever. But what about the fighters?

In the midst of that collision, after all that smoke and sand had cleared away, we see one figure high in the air, with their fist deep ino the other figures chest, while they was also in mid air.

"HERE WE GO!" Mario shouted at the top of his lungs, hitting aang as hard, but not deadly as he could.

Unfortunately for Mario however, was that he miscalculated. He thought his rainbow power up was going to end by the time he could push through that attack and hit aang square on the chest, to just knock him out. What he didn't know was that his right hand was still under the effects of the star and when he made contact with Aang's chest, he instantly tore right through his flesh.

In Aang's point of view, he saw all the avatars before him(and he himself) slowly disappear. The line of the avatars and Aang's life itself was about to end. When his vision returned to the real world, he saw Mario, who still had a fist deep in his chest, who only just now noticed what he did. Gasping in disbelief, Mario looked Aang in the eye. who weakly smiled and told Mario something.

"..D-don't w-worry...it was an accident. Tell the....others that and tell Katara...I love her." before the force of the punch sent him flying helplessly towards the rough looking sand and he crashed land in it. Mario landed right next to him a couple seconds later and he ran up to him, and put his hands on Aang's shoulder and back to see if he'll wake up.

As soon as he saw there was no pulse, Mario heard a soft roar from afar. Looking up he saw that the Avatar's bison and his friends who was riding him, was coming back. Panicked, all Mario could say at this moment was one thing.

"...Mama Mia..."

Verdict: Mario vs AangAfter a year and a half, i'm finally finished with my fourth death battle. Now just be warned the verdict i'm about to give is based off the one from two years ago and not the results of now.
Now at the point of this fight when it was started, things were considerably close at one point. Mario held the advantage in every stat, but Aang's speed was actually a factor that would allow him to keep up and dodge the plumber, admittedly barely.
On the other hand, Aang held the advantaged in battlefield control and variety. Mario has a number of power ups, and if all of them were used, could've took this category, but considering the fact Mario wouldn't have really needed to even use power ups to win this match anyway, so they really don't matter in this match up.
Now if we look at other factors, both have an advantage over the other. Aang is the better trained fighter skilled wise, but since he rarely ever use close combat and isn't as experienced as Mario, Mario takes combat experience and s

Epilogue
Still Panicked, Mario was thinking fast on what he could do to or what he would do about this situation he was in. However he soon thought of something. Something that could really help him.

Reaching into his overalls, Mario pulled out a green mushroom with white spots all over it and eyes. He opened up Aang's mouth and dropped it in there. After a little while, a little noise could've been heard before Aang's open chest closed and looked as though it was never opened to begin with and Aang's eyes popped open.

Aang was a little surprised. Actually he was more than surprised. He knew he past away, he even saw his past lives and himself disappear. But now he saw not only that all of them returned(including himself), but also that he wasn't even injured. Mario sighed in relief as Aang set his sights on Mario.

Flabbergasted, Aang could only ask "Did, did you bring me back to life?" And which Mario nodded yes and simply said "mmhm" in response. Grateful, Aang smiled and said thanks. As he was helped to his feet, Appa landed and Katara, Toph, and Sokka ran towards him.

"Aang!" All three of them said as they pretty much tackled said Avatar. He laughed and before he could ask them how's it going, noticed Zuko was missing.

"Where's Zuko"?"

"That's why we came back! We were suddenly ambushed by Bowser's forces and his son, and Zuko offered to stayed back since they wanted him only. We left just so we can get you to come back and help us." Katara said

Mario and Aang both went wide eyed before they looked at each other. Both getting a look of confidence, they turned back to the others.

"Lead the way. We're going to stop Bowser's army!" Aang said.

And like that, the GAang and Mario started to walk back towards Appa.

"Wait a second. Uhh what happened to the island? What did you guys do in your fight?" Sokka asked as both Mario and Aang both stopped walking and chuckled steeply.

"See, what happened..." Aang begin.
Fin.
Enjoy. ;)

This is a pretty interesting match-up, but I think you did a good job with it! Keep up the good work!
